LA Works matches volunteers with Homebound Seniors

It’s actually not too hard to find good-news stories in the time of covid. People are looking for ways to give back. One example is a program run by a Los Angeles nonprofit that matches homebound seniors with “phone buddy” volunteers who call them a couple times a week to help ease the isolation and stress.  Watch this news segment, which Zan arranged through her PR day job, about a 71-year-old senior, Roger Fabian, and his LA Works volunteer, Noel Payne, who have developed a “heart-to-heart connection” over the past few weeks. And if you live in Greater Los Angeles and know a senior who could use a phone buddy, don’t hesitate to visit LA Works at laworks.com.
