First it was 15, which would reduce to 0 after a few days. Then on April 10th Trump predicted 55,000 to 75,000 deaths. On April 17 that became 60,000 to 65,000 deaths. April 20th, we were told between 50,000 and 60,000 deaths. April 27th we heard 60,000 or 70,000 deaths. April 29th we were looking at 60,000, 65,000 or 70,000 deaths. May 1st, we were told that we would HOPEFULLY finish under 100,000 deaths. May 3rd, between 75,000 and 100,000 people.
Trump’s actual words were: “I used to say 65,000 and now I am saying 80 or 90”.
What does that mean? He used to say one number and now he has revised that number. It sounds like he is pulling numbers out of his rear end. These are human lives, not poll numbers. Real people are dying.
On May 4th, the U.S. recorded a total 68,922 deaths from Covid-19. There are currently 1,180,288 confirmed cases in the U.S. Every single day, these numbers rise.
